Pronouns in Ginyanga

The paper presents a tentative overview of pronouns in Ginyanga, an understudied Kwa language spoken Togo and Ghana; particular, personal pronouns, reflexive demonstratives, quantifiers. There are no subject Ginyanga. We define two pronoun series with designated for each noun class: basic (emphatic possessive) object. set is used independent possessive contexts, as well constructions. Guang systems shows that Ginyanga falls into the typical pattern. Possessive 1st (human) class exhibit some irregularities when kinship terms. In cases, morphological agreement pattern between its coreferential object can be violated on semantic basis, e. g. human referents non-human classes. Additionally, there variation usage by different consultants age groups, which may indication change. -balɪ “this” -bʊnʊ “that”, also to agreement. contrast -balɪ, demonstrative relative clauses anaphoric. majority quantifiers demonstrate only exceptions our data -kʊ “one” kpɛkpɛ “each”.
